You can find the text version of our End of Session Report here. Better yet, here’s a PDF version of it! It was quite a year in our district, and we thank you for your support, your kind words and for sharing your fears and worries as we worked toward getting a commitment from the state to return a substantial number of state workers to the State Complex in Waterbury. The session was more than just flood recovery, of course, and our report covers some of the larger issues. Please feel free to read it and share your thoughts about what we did and what remains to be done. If there is an issue important to you that we did not cover, please contact us and we’ll fill you in.
As of this election cycle, our district, Washington-Chittenden, will be made up of the towns of Waterbury, Bolton, Huntington and Buels Gore. This is a change for us, as Duxbury will now be represented in a district made up of the towns of Duxbury, Fayston, Moretown, Waitsfield and Warren. Change is hard for all of us, and the conversations regarding this change were serious and, at times, contentious. But as much as I will miss my constituents and friends in Duxbury, I look forward to meeting the people of Bolton and getting to know their town as well as I know Duxbury and Huntington. As a representative, I will try my best to represent the unique interests of each town in a professional and thoughtful manner. Never hesitate to contact me with your questions about this redistricting, and how it may affect us in the coming biennium.
